Day 1

Manaus / Arrival / Canoeing / Mamori River

PlanetaEXO's local partner will pick you up at the airport or your hotel at 8 AM. The journey to the lodge, which includes sections by car and boat, takes 3–4 hours.

Kick off your 4-day Amazon tour by heading to Ceasa Port, where you'll make a quick stop at the local fish and fruit market before embarking on a boat. On the way to Careiro da Várzea across the Solimões and Negro rivers, you'll witness the fascinating Meeting of Waters.

After another drive and boat ride (keep an eye out for giant water lilies and animals along the way!), you'll arrive at the lodge around 12 PM. Take some time to check into your room, relax after the long journey, and have lunch.

Later, join your guide on a motorized canoe trip to explore the surrounding area of the Mamori River. This is the moment to take in the beauty of the largest rainforest in the world and keep an eye out for possible animal sightings, such as sloths, monkeys, and birds.

Day 2

Sunrise / Jungle Trekking / Survival Techniques / Night Spotlighting

The adventure begins at 5:30 AM with a sunrise birdwatching outing by canoe, a wonderful opportunity to experience nature awakening with the sun. Afterwards, we return to the lodge for breakfast.

At 8 AM, head out on a jungle trek led by experienced guides. You'll learn survival tactics such as how to use lianas as ropes and climb trees and how to find water and food. Along the way, you'll learn about the rich biodiversity and wildlife of the Amazon.

Next, head to the river for a canoeing session with oars to observe more wildlife, photograph beautiful landscapes, and listen to the sounds of the jungle. Back at the lodge, dinner is served at 7 PM, followed by a night canoe to observe nocturnal fauna and spot caimans with expert guides.

Day 3

Local Communities / Nature Contemplation

After breakfast at 8 AM, depart from the lodge to visit a local home and gain insight into their way of life in the Amazon. You will have the opportunity to learn about their culture, customs, and traditions.

On the return journey to the lodge, you'll visit a cassava and rubber plantation where locals demonstrate how they collect vegetables, fruits, nuts, and spices. You will also have the chance to taste some of these exotic products.

After lunch, return to the river for the famous piranha fishing experience, one of the most striking species you'll encounter on this tour. Dinner is served at 7 PM. The rest of the night is free to relax and appreciate the various sounds and mysteries of the Amazon rainforest.

Day 4

Farewell to the Jungle / Return to Manaus

The final day of your Brazilian Amazon expedition begins once you have breakfast. Depending on the itinerary and the season, there is the possibility of an additional morning tour, including observing the Amazon's pink river dolphins as you navigate through the small channels (igarapés) and the flooded forest areas (igapós), which usually appear from February to July.

The tour comes to an end after lunch. You will be safely transferred back to Manaus.
