Amazon Rainforest Ecolodge Trip in Brazil

Amazon
4 Nights·5 Days

Overview

This Amazon Rainforest ecolodge trip in Brazil takes you to the Mamirauá Reserve, a World Heritage of Nature and one of the most protected areas of the tropical forest, home to endemic species such as the white uakari monkey.

You stay at an ecolodge floating on the water, fully integrated with the landscape and managed together with local communities. Its goals are to generate income for those communities, strengthen their organization, and create incentives to conserve the area's natural resources.

It is an ideal destination for travelers who want to discover the Amazon's biodiversity, its communities, and its conservation work, all from a sustainable floating base.

  • Explore the Mamirauá Reserve, a World Heritage of Nature with rich biodiversity.
  • Stay in a floating ecolodge that blends seamlessly into the Amazon landscape.
  • Special activities including night safari, photographic safari, and piranha fishing.
  • Visits to local riverside communities to understand their unique way of life.
  • Engage with conservation work and learn about the reserve's preservation efforts.
  • Please note: This is a rustic-but-comfortable ecolodge floating inside the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve, run jointly by the Mamirauá Institute and the riverside communities. It is not a luxury resort. Activities run in very small groups and adapt to the river’s season (trails on foot in the dry season, by canoe when the forest floods). Access is via Tefé, not Manaus.
