3-day Chapada Diamantina National Park Tour

Brazil
2 Nights·3 Days

Overview

This Chapada Diamantina National Park tour covers the park’s headline sights in 3 days, based in the town of Lençóis, Bahia. Sleep in town every night and head out on a guided day trip each morning, covering about 20.5 km on foot and 400 km by road.

Day 1 climbs to Cachoeira da Fumaça, the tallest waterfall in Brazil at 380 m, with views over Vale do Capão and Morrão, then cools off at Riachinho. Day 2 is a water day: the Mosquito Waterfall, the cola-colored Mucugezinho River, and the Poço do Diabo pool.

You’ll also explore the limestone galleries of the Lapa Doce Cave and the Blue Grotto at Fazenda Pratinha, then close at sunset on Morro do Pai Inácio. Of all the things to do in Chapada Diamantina, this is the shortest route that still offers a fulfilling experience, covering waterfalls, caves, and viewpoints.
