Day 1

The Pantanal Tour from Cuiabá begins at Marechal Rondon International Airport (CGB). In the morning, a car takes you to your chosen accommodation in Poconé, about 100 km away. After settling in and a dinner of Brazilian dishes, you join expert guides in 4×4 vehicles for a night tour, using a spotlight to look for Pantanal animals such as owls, caimans, ocelots and maned wolves under the starry sky.

Day 2

Photo safari / Boat tour

After breakfast, a morning photo safari in open vehicles covers greater distances to spot animals hidden during the night tour. Jaguars are among the most beloved animals of the biome, but sightings here are unlikely; even so, you can see giant anteaters, marsh deer, tapirs, blue macaws and the symbol of the Pantanal, the jabiru stork. A boat tour adds another perspective on the wetland’s birds and wildlife.

Day 3

Horseback riding / Pantanal trek

Enjoy some horseback riding, with docile horses and comfortable saddles so even first-timers can explore the open fields and floodplain like the local cowboys. After lunch and a rest, the next adventure is a Pantanal trek in the forest, where you spot animals and insects and admire the vegetation, ferns, bromeliads, orchids, water lilies and ipês (Brazil’s national flower).

Day 4

Final trek in the Pantanal / Departure
